Musings while I walk to my coffee shop

There is a coffee shop on 26th and Geary called the "Enchanted Cafe." I found it my first week here in San Francisco. The outside of it looks somewhat sketch... or at the very least nothing special but when you walk in you are greated by a friendly Russian girl and an older Asian woman. Neither speak much English so ordering is always an excitement. The first time I went in there was a man painting a French cafe scene on the back wall- immediately I knew it was the place for me. I sat down in a corner table next to the window and noticed that all of the tables seemed to be corner tables. Perhaps another reason why I love this place? Out the window i could see Trader Sams Cocktails- a bar that always seems to be open even though it is currently 11:21 am. Just a ways down from Trader Sams is the Russian Holy Virgin Cathedral. It looks so out of place next to the plain brown apartment building next to it and the bar and falafel places down the street from it, and yet it fits in perfectly. This is San Francisco afterall and here in the Richmond area there is the most interesting mix of Russians, Asians, Indians, and then a slight sprinkling of "Americans"- with me being the token blonde. Brunette is the way to go in Nor Cal.
You can find any type of food you want in this city. Craving Indian, Greek, Thai, Cantonese, Japonese, Mongolian, Burmese, Peruvian, Ethiopian, Russian, Vietnemese, Korean, Turkish? oh yea, we got that. We even have fast food, (although you have to look hard for it).
All of these wonderful things surrounding my secret coffee shop. How could I not love it? It is afterall...Enchanted.
